Operations and Manufacturing Technician

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Operations and Testing Technician to join our Propulsion Team, playing a crucial role in the assembly, integration, and testing phases of our propulsion systems and supporting infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of propulsion system components, such as Liquid Rocket Engines, feedlines, valves, and test bench elements.
  • Participate in the preparation and operation of test infrastructures, including small floating barges used for EOS launches, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely availability of materials, components, and equipment needed for assembly and integration processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to schedule deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of materials and parts.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and workstations, ensuring they are in optimal condition for production activities.
  • Participate in quality control inspections and audits to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and specifications.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in the coordination of shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipments, organizing logistics, and managing documentation.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
  • Take full responsibility for the quality and performance of test and spaceflight hardware, embodying Sidereus’s commitment to reliability and excellence.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure, making informed decisions to mitigate risks and ensure mission success.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, or operations support roles is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and maintaining records.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications for inventory management and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adabt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

Preferred Skills & Experiences:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or aerospace industry environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
  • Basic understanding of quality management principles and practices.
  • Forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain certification or similar preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability for travel as needed to support hardware launches and testing activities.

Salary And Benefits:

For this role, we offer a salary range between €24,000 and €45,000, commensurate with your qualifications and experience. Our benefits package includes:
