Launch Operator Specialist
As a Launch Operator Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our launch operations, directly contributing to the effective deployment of our vehicles. Your responsibilities will span across the spectrum of launch operations, from preparing launch equipment and assisting in subsystem assembly, to defining mission-specific test and operational requirements, and troubleshooting real-time challenges. Your resilience, initiative, and ability to make risk-conscious decisions under pressure will be crucial to our mission’s success.
- Oversee and execute the preparation of launch equipment and hardware for testing, pre-launch operations, and launch operations.
- Assist in the assembly of subsystem components, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
- Define test and operational requirements for each mission, integrating inputs from various functions to optimize outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive ground system plans and establish clear, efficient operational procedures.
- Conduct thorough flight vehicle and facility checkouts, and readiness testing to ensure optimal launch conditions.
- Troubleshoot test and operational challenges in real-time, leveraging your technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Be prepared for domestic and international travel as required to support launch activities.
- Exercise prudent decision-making skills under pressure, prioritizing safety and mission objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with launch vehicle / similar operations.
- Proven experience in ground equipment operations related to aircraft, spacecraft, or amateur rockets.
- Proficient in managing the logistics of complex launch operations
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
- Proven track record of liaisoning with authorities to secure necessary regulatory approvals and clearances for launches and logistics, both domestically and internationally
- Willingness to travel extensively to support launch activities and hardware testing.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary to meet mission objectives.
- Adaptability to take on varying subsystem design responsibilities, demonstrating a quick learning curve to meet changing requirements
Salary And Benefits:
For this role, we offer a salary range between €25,000 and €39,000, commensurate with your qualifications and experience. Our benefits package includes:
