Integration and Test Operator (Structures Department)
Sidereus Space Dynamics is at the forefront of revolutionizing space access through its pioneering reusable single-stage launch vehicles, tailored for responsive deployments of nanosatellites and small payloads. We are seeking a hands-on Integration and Test Operator to join our team. This role is instrumental in ensuring that both our launch vehicles and test infrastructure structures are optimally integrated and validated for mission readiness through hands-on work. A significant part of this role involves the hands-on assembly and testing of the structural tanks of the vehicle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead hands-on integration, testing, and validation processes for both the launch vehicles and test infrastructure structures, ensuring they meet technical standards and project timelines.
- Conduct hands-on assembly and testing of structural tanks, ensuring they meet design specifications and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and define system requirements and specifications, translating them into hands-on testing and integration tasks.
- Draft, execute, and document hands-on test procedures to validate system functionality, including troubleshooting and rectification of issues.
- Actively engage in the assembly and configuration of vehicle and infrastructure subsystem components.
- Participate in design reviews, providing insightful feedback based on hands-on experience to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Ensure the accurate documentation of integration and test results, actively contributing to the continuous improvement of hands-on integration and testing processes.
- Conduct thorough hands-on checkouts and readiness testing to ascertain optimal conditions for testing and launch.
- Troubleshoot real-time challenges through practical, hands-on problem-solving skills to ensure mission success.
- Be prepared for domestic and international travel as required to support hands-on testing and launch activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proficiency in tools and techniques related to hands-on integration and testing of aerospace vehicles, infrastructure, and structural tanks.
- Demonstrated experience in hands-on integration, testing, and troubleshooting, preferably within the aerospace sector.
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
- Proficient in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of hands-on integration and testing activities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, adapting to evolving project requirements with a hands-on approach.
