Electronics Integration and Test Operator (Avionics Department)
Sidereus Space Dynamics is a start-up dedicated to developing a new generation of reusable single-stage launch vehicles capable of tactically responsive access to space for nanosatellites and small payloads. As we advance in our mission, we are seeking an Electronics Integration and Test Operator to join our Avionics Department. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of the electronic systems integral to our launch vehicles.
Job Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the integration, testing, and validation of electronic systems and avionics hardware ensuring they are mission-ready.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand and define system requirements and specifications.
- Draft, execute, and document test procedures to validate system functionality, including troubleshooting and rectification of issues.
- Assist in the assembly and configuration of avionics subsystem components, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project timelines.
- Participate in design reviews, providing insightful feedback to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Ensure the accurate documentation of integration and test results, and contribute to the continuous improvement of integration and testing processes.
- Conduct thorough avionics and facility checkouts, readiness testing to ascertain optimal launch conditions.
- Troubleshoot real-time challenges, leveraging your technical acumen and problem-solving prowess to ensure mission success.
- Be prepared for domestic and international travel as required to support testing and launch activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, avionics, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in electronics integration, testing, and troubleshooting, preferably within the aerospace sector.
- Proficient in the use of electronic testing equipment and software tools for data analysis.
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
- Familiarity with space-qualified hardware and regulatory standards governing space vehicle electronics.
- Proficient in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of integration and testing activities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, adapting to evolving project requirements.
